For years I designed flawless journeys for people who already had everything. It taught me the rarest luxury left is purpose — and that comfort without consequence is just drift.
I have spent my life on and under the water — as a competitive sailor, a coach, a diver. It is the thing I understand best, and the thing I most want to see protected. RUMBL’FISH grew out of both: a life spent on the water, and a conviction that wealth is most alive when it restores something.
I know wealth, and I know the people who hold it. For more than a decade I built long-term relationships with entrepreneurial families and private clients as Managing Director of Roberts & Partners, one of the Netherlands’ leading boutique travel firms. I learned what serious people expect: discretion, judgement, and someone whose advice they can trust completely.
I also know the world of giving from the inside. As Director of NL Cares, I grew it into one of the country’s largest volunteering platforms, connecting corporations and more than 50.000 people to hands-on social initiatives. I saw the same thing again and again: people who genuinely wanted to make a difference, but could never tell whether their money reached anything real.
That gap is why RUMBL’FISH exists. Serious people want their giving to matter — in this case to the water especially, in a country built on its relationship with it — but the field gives them almost no way to know what actually works. Banks advise on giving as a way to manage money. Most advisors are generalists who have never been near the water. I am neither.
I sell no products and manage no assets. I focus on one thing, deeply. My only interest is whether your support works.
If that is the kind of giving you want to do, I’d like to hear from you.
